Maarten Swaan is a singer-songwriter from Holland. In 2005 Maarten traded Holland for a life of traveling musician. Starting in Guatemala he ventured with several bands through to the USA, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, where he toured, and landed 2.5 years ago in beautiful Barcelona, Spain, where he's enjoying life as a musician. Since the break up of his old band Melou, with who he recorded 2 albums and did 3 EU and USA tours, he has released 2 solo albums; "Write me Notes" (2010) and "Broken Bike" (2011). Now he and his band are getting in shape to record their 3rd, now full length album, in cooperation with Annie Goodchild, the singer from Melou and with producer Dave Bianchi.
